Military notes for Paul Wilhelm Bartneck
Paul served in the German Army in the 5. Kompanie Panzer-Regiment 11. He operated in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and White Russia. He was wounded on December 14th, 1942 with a shrapnel at his head. He was returned back to Paderborn and continued to serve in the army. In 1943 he was returned into the active troops (Panzer Abteilung 505). He then served in Russia, Ukraine, Normandie and Germany. He was registered by a British Release unit, but no details of any war imprisonment is available.
