Our work on the Earthquake Simulator was featured on Radio New Zealand on January 11th, 2013. You can listen to the broadcast here:
Wendy Kaufman interviewed me about LEGO Minifigures and in particular BrickArms. It was a great interview and I am very happy about the broadcast: An Entrepreneur Expands The Lego Universe

For one of my research projects I needed the flags of all countries. These national flags are often available as icons or bitmap graphics, but it was difficult to find them in a vector format, such as SVG. Here are some sources for bitmap flags:
Wikimedia has a full overview of all the flags with links to the flags in various formats. But I needed them all together on my computer for processing, so I harvested them all an put them into one zip file. All the flags are under Creative Commons License, so feel free to use them. You can download the All National Flags In Vector Format (SVG).
Google introduced a new feature. You can now look at the ranking of publication venues by discipline and sub-discipline. The HRI conference is listed at place 9 in the robotics area. The CHI conference is on top in the human-computer interaction ranking. In both disciplines, Google has a problem with “Interaction”, since it declares them to be “Unteraction”. The journal “Human-Computer Interaction” is also not listed. I am not sure if this is due to a lack of h-index or due to some other reason.
